Interview

Give us a brief background about yourself. I was born in Seoul, South Korea and grew up in southern Arizona. I’m the only child of very loving parents and I grew up experiencing it all, from piano and flute lessons to tap, jazz, and hula lessons.

How did you get started in modeling? While I was attending college at the University of Arizona I was scouted to sign with a major modeling agency and the rest is history. I continued growing in my modeling career while attending school in both Arizona and Florida and was blessed to have the opportunity to be published in major publications for print and television both here and abroad.

What has been your biggest accomplishment as a model? Wow, I have been blessed with many opportunities including being published in major magazines like Maxim and FHM. One of my biggest accomplishments as a model was the opportunity to host as on-air talent for an entertainment television show on CBS in south Florida. During my time there I was able to interview many athletes and celebrities including Snoop Dogg, Michael Strahan, and Michael Bays. It was an amazing experience.

In your opinion, what sets you apart from other models? I have been complimented for my drive and professionalism. I treat my modeling career the same way I treat any other professional career. I understand the importance of first impressions and being communicative, and always strive to put 110% of my effort in to every experience I’m blessed with.

Are you looking to expand into other fields besides modeling? In addition to my modeling career I am also a business owner and a member of the entertainment law community. It’s wonderful because I get to utilize my modeling experience and my professional degrees to help others and also learn real world knowledge that aids me in my own professional growth and development.

What is your opinion on models posing for Playboy? Would you consider posing? Unfortunately it’s not for me, but I have several friends who have posed for Playboy and they really enjoyed their experiences. I have heard nothing but great comments about Playboy and their photographers.

Have you had any funny experiences during a shoot? Tell us one. One of my funniest experiences during a shoot was while on a group shoot in the Bahamas. Some of the models decided to use butt glue (adhesive used in tape or glue-pen format) to keep their swimsuit bottoms from riding up since we were out there all day. One girl applied the butt glue to the actual lining of her swimsuit bottom instead of along the trim and it literally stuck to her butt to the point where she couldn’t even take them off to go to the bathroom. The situation was out of control.

Are you currently single or taken? I am currently taken. I’m lucky because my boyfriend is very supportive of my modeling career.

What characteristics or traits do you look for in a guy? I love athleticism and I love wit. The brainy guys who also play sports are my favorite.

What would you say is your guilty pleasure? FOOD. I love watching Food Network and I love to cook. Trying new foods is one of my favorite things to do and I think that if a person is adventuresome about food it says a lot about them.

What websites would you say you spend most of your time on? I love reading so a lot of the websites I visit are news driven, however I will admit that I enjoy killing time on Facebook and of course Nutekspeed.com.

What are your biggest pet peeves? I hate it when people are rude to others completely unprovoked. If someone opens the door for you say thank you.

What is something people would be surprised to know about you? I had private flute lessons from the 4th grade until I was 18 years old. I won numerous music competitions throughout the state of Arizona and I also won talent at both the 2005 Miss Arizona pageant and the 2007 Miss Miami pageant.

Aside from being our Featured Model, what can we expect from you in the upcoming 2012 year? I just recently signed with Wilhelmina Models and my agent in upstate NY is encouraging me to branch out more in to commercial modeling. What would you like to say to your supporters and future fans? A big THANK YOU! I can’t express how meaningful it is to me to have so much support and love.
