Interview

Tell us a little bit about your personality. My personality...oh boy ! ;) Well I’m "a bit" of a fire cracker with a very playful, yet serious side. I've been told by everyone in my life I’m helpful to a fault. I am overly friendly yet very smart as to who I allow close to me. I have learned to be more of the listener than the talker. I'm a dreamer while still being a realist. My friends are my family and my family my life. I would much rather go to a baseball game & drink a beer than go to a club & "pop bottles". I've got the mentality of a man but the compassion of a woman.

How did you get into modeling? When I was younger I never really thought of myself as pretty. I was always the tom boy hanging out at the park or in the gym. After high school I found myself getting really heavily into fashion. So much so I started designing clothes with my aunt’s sewing machine. That was a bit of a transition year for me. I started embracing high heels instead of my tennis shoes. Then when MySpace started I fell in love with it. Within a few months I had developed this online following. Within the year pretty much everyone in my hometown or surrounding areas knew who I was because of MySpace, so on and so on. Then one day my dad called me about a competition he had seen in the newspaper. Kelly Pavlik the middle weight boxing champion of the world is from my hometown & was searching for ring girls for his upcoming fight. I ended up winning the competition. From there I gained other jobs and exposure. Eventually leading me into a full on love affair for being in front of the camera. I'm now in LA pursuing my dream head on.

What do you like most about being a model? The opportunities first & foremost. I have gotten travel all over and meet some amazing people I otherwise would have not.

How do you spend your time when you're not modeling? Honestly, I spend so much time at events or parties for work I've become more of a home body. You can usually find me snuggled up on the couch watching movies, at the gym or a nice dinner with friends.

What is your best physical feature? I get complimented on my eyes the most. I personally am a fan of my butt, considering I've invested many long hours into getting it! Hah :)

What is the first thing that attracts you to a guy? Confidence!

What is the best pick up line a guy has used on you? I don't think there is a best or worst pick up line...They're all bad lol I think the best way of ever getting someone’s attention is to just be yourself and be confident in doing so.

Describe your idea of a perfect date. A Mavericks or Dallas cowboys game to start. BOA steakhouse or Mastro's for a nice dinner. Santa Monica Pier to watch the water & lights to end. That would be my perfect day =)

If you could customize any car, what would it be? How would you customize it? I'm not a big car girl so none of this really matters to me.

What is something people would be surprised to know about you? I could throw a football better than most men.

If you could meet one famous person or celebrity, who would it be and why? Paul McCartney...My dad raised my brothers & I on all the oldies, the Beatles in particular. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a HUGE Beatles fan. I've had the opportunity to meet several celebrities over the last few years. Never once did I feel as though they were anything different than myself. But I have to say I’d be a nervous wreck if I was put in the same room as Paul.

Who are your biggest influences? I live through the love of my family. They are my motivators, inspirations and support system. My father & uncle are the 2 people I look up to most. If I can someday be half the people they are, then I have made it in life, truly.

What are your biggest pet peeves? People who talk about their friends behind their backs. It makes you wonder what they say when you're not around.

Aside from being our featured model, what can we expect from Jocelyn Elizabeth n in 2011? I have 3 other features coming out in the next couple of months. A new episode for a dating game on CBS airing in the fall. Some catalogue work as well as features on numerous websites. Google "Jocelyn Elizabeth model" to stay updated with new things since I’m not in the social networking world.

Any last words to your supporters and future fans? Fans has always been a bit of an awkward word to me. I think there are people who appreciate what I’m doing or my work. To those people, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I as any human being have my days where I want to give up and call it quits. But when I see the constant love & words of encouragement it truly helps more than you realize. I have received emails from mothers or young girls telling me they or their daughters look up to me. That in itself is the highest form of inspiration, so thank you back =)
