Tell us a little bit about your personality. I am outgoing and upbeat. I love to laugh and enjoy life.
Where were you born and where did you grow up? I was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina and grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. I'm growing to love and appreciate this town more and more as I get closer to moving away (to Dallas, TX.) Charlotte pretty much is in the middle of it all; nice sized city, fun night life, great recreational areas to visit, lots of malls, and a short(ish) drive away from the beach to one side and the mountains on the other side.
How did you get into modeling? My first ever photo shoot was January 9th, 2008. Since then, I just kept finding photographers to shoot me and eventually wound up working at Hot Import Nights, where I met even bigger names in the industry who flew me out to their location to work with. What else can I say? The rest is history.
What do you think is your best physical feature? I'm often told my smile and pouty lip from the nicer guys. You all can guess what the boys with no filter like to say.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? When I first started modeling, I used to always say I wanted to change my height because I was always being told how hard it is to be short and successful in the industry. But since those times I got signed to an agency I thought would never take me because of height- so now! I tell everyone not to let anything stand in the way of what they wish to accomplish. Why should you want to change something about yourself when you're awesome and amazing the way you are?
What do you like to do when you're not modeling? Hobbies? When I'm not modeling or planning events/photo shoots, I can be found attached to the hip with my loving boyfriend. We're explorers of the world :] so together, we like to find big joys in life's smallest things.
What would you say a guy has to do to get your attention? I don't know if that's even possible since I'm so in love with my current boyfriend. But he can start by impressing me with his intelligence and not lame lines. I'm impressed by a guy who knows what a Myocardial Infarction is without Googling.
What is your idea of a perfect date? The perfect date would involve the beach, animals, learning about one another, being goofy, terrorizing other people for our entertainment, and maybe a nice sophisticated dinner after all that silliness.
Which websites would you say you spend most of your time on? Ok, who doesn't spend a lot of time on MySpace and Facebook? Guiiilty of that! I also spend a lot of time on my email server planning travels and photo shoots.
If you could customize any car, what would it be? How would you customize it? I would customize a '96 Honda Prelude because I used to own one but completely obliterated it in a car accident :( I loveeee the H22 engine, and the dash that runs ALL the way across. Hot! Lots of Mugen, HKS, GReddy etc. Make sure everything is sleek, clean, and on-point. Brake system, AEM intake, fuel injectors, tranny, suspension etc- Throw a hello kitty exhaust pipe on it, and duh; lots of cute and flashy but pretty much useless mods. Paintjobs, lights, system etc.
What is something people would be surprised to know about you? Special talents? Most people don't know I'm a vegetarian; which goes hand in hand with being a huge environmentalist, humanitarian, animal rights activist, and I'm also a gay-rights advocate. As far as special talents go? I learned how to clean up old people in my medical classes back in high school, does that count? Eww! Haha.
What is your biggest pet peeve? My biggest pet peeve would definitely be cliquey people that are full of drama. When people merely assume instead of just asking.
Aside from being our featured model, what can we expect from Karolina Von in 2009? My website is planning to relaunch with an even more radical layout, user friendly gallery with sub categories, a store with signed posters from hotter exclusive shoots you can't see anywhere else, and music. Any last words to your supporters and future fans? I love you all SO much! I'd have given up a long time ago without you guys keeping me motivated. I can't say thank you enough; and just keep doin' what ya do! And show mad love as my career continues to grow ^^ You guys rock.
